thaipusam was great!
we were at shaw jhee's house. right on the main street outside youth park. we were dancing around, throwing the coconuts like water balloons wei... hahaha!! not cause we were throwing at others. cause when the coconut hits the ground the juice spits out on everyone. ==) the music was loud and indianish. we didnt know what indian songs but we just danced and played around, takin pics and all. being really sampat at some point. still fun altogether.

my left foot was hit by a flying huge coconut shell. got swollen. bled. and im still alive dont worry. small wound. all worth it for the fun!
i was so excited waiting for the indian god to walk pass where i stood. thinkin 'i wanna throw a coconut i wanna throw a coconut!'

anyway i've won a goodie bag from 8tv quickie. you get to hear my voice as a caller at 11.30pm on saturday 7 feb. ==D dont know what's in there but i heard it's not bad. ==D for those who've missed it and still wanna hear what i was blabbling about on tv, you still can watch it (or hear it) online >here<. i sound bad but, whatever i got something for free. hahahaha!

happee 2009!

i know its 2 days late. first day the internet went crazy. streamyx was havin a day off too i guess?
but happy new year people!! especially to the very special person who shared this blog and made it more interesting than it is.... n played a very special role in my life. well a person's blog is all about a person's life isnt it? ==)

lookin back at 2008 for me just... i was lookin at all the blog posts for last whole year....... i have no receptor thingy, to control at all, the cells around my tear glands.... lets just put it that way, when thing's are slightly out of... expectations, plans and control, of the will of... fate? and certain arrangements with...... ok i shall stop talkin now.

anyway last year for jocelyn, moved really slow. really really slow. i was waiting and waiting everyday, staring at a date all the time. one date after another. there was always a date, may it be a happy one or a sad one. february then july then august then november then... and now this year, i just dont have a date as a target line anymore. it was a slow year but before i know it, it ended up in a zap, leavin me stuck in never never land.
andddddd.... that slow year is finally over. hope this new year for me would be fast. and you know ther's only 2 ways for it to be fast. for your life to be fast. one is to have a great work life. or a great love life. as usual, greedy me would want both.

ok new year resolutions! here's the list. well, not really a new year resolution list, but i think they look more like a to-do list. cause u know, resolutions always look and sound so... visionary. so huge... with big plans and big evetything and half of them will have your freinds laugh at you saying "hey wasnt that what you said last year? come on you wont get that done this year" or "puh-leez, you wont be able to make that happen, not in this decade".

THE LIST

1. do something good. (volunteer somewhere since im too stingy for giving out monetary donations. oh old clothes might work too ==) )
2. learn up something. (be it a skill, a hobby, a language etc)
3. finish all my movies and series. (some dvds in my drawer are bought to rust and i should start doing something about it. lol)
4. have a clear mind and decide totally what to major on in my studies. (and make sure i WILL go for a degree)
5. sew some dolls. (i want to!)
6. finish my 6 never ending books feeding on dust, ps i love you, change of heart, rules of work, olgilvy's advertising, 4 twilight books (if i have them all, i only have 2)...
7. change my fashion style. totally! more heels and make up for me please. when i dont feel lazy or feel like wearin something comfortable. im old. i've changed my hair style anyway, next up is my wardrobe. ==)
8. but i do need money for that dont i? so i need a job. i great job to gain experience.
9. self learn photography and editing skills.
10. finish writing a proposal for patrick's corporate company profile and get him to pay me ==) (man this was on me for more than half a year now. it's goin to be a year in 2 or 3 months. ish!)
11. make really nice cards for everybody's birthday!
    
12. finish my cross stitch. (i have a new one and its almost like a bif framed photo)
13. keep praying that my hp will spoil so that i will get a new one. and also that i will earn enough money by then to treat myself with a new hp.
14. not travelling. definately. or maybe i could, but i dont feel like it. (why is this even on the list?)
15. forgive the people i hate. jocelyn will talk to the people she loath most, act nice and hope it'll turn out nice. just cause she wants to cut names off her enemy list.
16. wear a bikini in public. (hahahhahaha... this is a stupid one but what the hell.. who's in with me? ==D 20 and i havent done that before can you believe that? was never confident with... erm... a certain size, you know... anyway its not happening 30 years frm now is it? im old now! and its happenin now. hahaha )
17. get an addiction. (be it on candies, work, a hobby, some life, some book, anything!)
18. be more organized.
19. be a better planner on managing my life.
20. exercise more... and i mean MORE. it i dont throughout the year, i'll make sure i do in december. ==D
    

and if i dont get them done by november 2009, i'll have them done in the whole december just so poeple wont be saying things like "cheh i knew it" or something like that. liang might probably be the first to say that hahaha...
the list should be till 20 i guess. if there are more i'll write in the comment box. anybody came up with their new year resolutions already?

Happy New Year

It's another year gone, another year of experience, another year of lessons learned, hopefully I've become a better person from everything I've gained throughout the year.
How did the past year treat you? Did all of you have a good year overall?
Even if it wasn't the best year you've had, don't be sad as it is the hardships that build and shape us into what we are...be strong as another new year of uncertainty faces us, but how we deal with it, how we overcome it and the outcome will usually be in our hands.

If I've offended someone or caused pain throughout the year, I sincerely apologise.

Throughout the year, I've met new people, reunited with old friends, supported by my ever present family members, and also a special person who've supported me and was always there....I thank them, for giving me the life I have, bringing me smiles, being there at times when i needed them most...though we are no longer what we are 2008 would be etched in my brain as memories i hold dear....

I wish you all a better 2009 than this year...

Can't think of much to say, a lil jaded from all the meetings with everyone...but nonetheless it's always very nice to see everyone of you again....
May our friendship carry on from this year to the next....

A special thanx...

It was just another warm shiny saturday morning, yes it was my birthday but was just planning for a quiet one, going to the gym then have dinner with my cousin, Jason.
Got out of bed and for the first time in years have i seen our living room so empty, tidy and clean. I was like "woah, Jamie must have felt really like cleaning"hahahaha....
By 12 i was hungry so i went ahead to cook rice, Jason did say something like "eating so early?" He never really asks that but still I continued on with what i was doing.
After the rice was cooked and all, both of us sat outside on the sofa for the first time, yes in years....hahaha..."Wah, it's been awhile since i sat on the sofa, so nice and comfortable, I'll sit for awhile more." said Yee Liang....*note i was only awake for like an hour and was still feeling lazy.
10 minutes later my baby woke up and i proceeded to call her and she started saying things like "put on some nice clothes when u go out ya." When i asked why she just said cause it's your birthday. It was weird but yet i just went ok.

"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!!!" hmmm..."who is it?" i wondered...kelvin(my cousin's bf)? Cause he is the only one without a house key. I was closest to the door and guess what i found when i opened it?? a bunch of hooligans outside my door. LOL...just kidding...
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" echoed around the tiny hall outside our doorstep. I was stunned, really surprised and in PJS...how is it that the usually observant me didn't notice something fishy going on. Maybe the plan was flawless, maybe Jason is a good spy, or maybe i just sucked cause I just wasn't paying attention.Hahaha....
Anyway, there in the hall was Jing Ling holding a strawberry tiramisu from 85 deg(a shop with the most delicate beautiful and nice cakes ==D) with a beautiful "20 candle making me feel old" haha...Sheng Yu (the one who bought and brought the cake all the way from the city, thanx a bunch) Hong Gee(one of the masterminds along with Jing Ling i believe), Xiang Yuan, Xiang Jie and Kyloon(the 3 who made the day merrier).....Of course ever present(in my heart) was my baby, who i shall be giving a few spanks for decieving me ==P that offered to pay for the cake too.
Haha....when they asked me to make a wish, i said it out aloud,"I hope all of you will be here to stay with me for years to come(or was it every single year) hahaha BIG HINT and i did really mean what i say ==D....I am a greedy person so of course I did make another wish in my heart as well, which I am NOT going to tell.
Another thanx goes to our "waitress" ==D Hong Gee who cut the cake into 8 pieces and somehow saved the last and biggest piece for herself ==P...just kidding....
Headed out for korean food which i hope everyone like....sorry Ian if it wasn't vegetarian enough ==S ...
Thanx everyone again for the meal, for Kyloon who dished out his credit card and Xiang Jie who held me there as if I was some captive to stop me from paying ==P

Oh I haven't forgotten Harbour side shopping mall who sponsored a dazzling display of fireworks for ME...YES ME.....wahhahaha...

i just turned 20! a few days ago. its a really sad thing. when you're 13 u wanna grow up faster. when you're 19, u just wanna stay a teen longer.
this is what u get from your friends when you're officially 20
"'hey happy birthday! you're no longer a teen! muahahahhaa!!!!"
yeah. 老了不认老 i know. i dont care im 20teen right now n i'm going to be twenty-leven next year, twenty-twelve, twenthirdteen, twenforteen and so on. and i'll decide when im no longer a teen when i feel like it. hahaha...
it feels so good to be young. when you're 20 you get to think back the fun times you spent with the people around you, the things you enjoy doing, no responsibilities. the rules you break. the pen you took without paying at popular. the rice u took from the economic rice stall in the school canteen without paying. the form1 prefect you use to poke around. the high school classmates that eat together in class or have fun together in class. the tuition classes you ditched to walk around and go back to the same spot to wait for mom when tuition's over. the many years of chinese new year when every year your aunts say the same thing "wahh so big already ar, the last time i saw you you still wet your bed!"
yeah, just take it as a compliment and that you no longer wet your bed.
so how does it feel like to be twenteen? for me i feel, old. and that i'll be leaving college soon for work. and the first step of my career is to write a resume for my internships. no more classes after next month. hard intern work for the following 3 months just so i wont be fired to graduate. and after that? life's not going to be the same anymore. well look on the bright side, i get to earn money and buy as many pairs of shoes that i want. whee!!

on the day itself, many of my friends sms-ed me and wished me happy birthday. i realized that there are so many friends remembers my birthday. alot of them are those that i dont remember when their birthday is for totally forgotten about it until friendster notifies me or when its on the facebook list. its either im a bad friend that doesnt care as much or that i have a bad memory or... that my birth date is easy to remember. one way or another i still feel bad. i even created a list of my friends birthday since like 2 years ago and it doesnt seem to help. it's killing me! im so sorry i feel so bad for not remembering your birthday(anybody whom i didnt wish back) ==( but i'd like to thank everybody. a simple wish means alot. and most of all i wouldnt forget my cubby for everything he did for me, the love the care the everything. i feel it miles away! ==') the best birthday present in 20 years is to have you by my side ==) my love, my life, my romeo.

this year my birthday was different. we went all the way up to Feringgi Garden. its a lil pricey but its a really cool place to go.
