stars...

I was at the beach last night till 4 in the morning.
The sky was so so beautiful, all i see was pitch black darkness and a blanket of thousands and thousands of stars twinkling above my head. Not much clouds. Everything was so clear.
Sea breeze through my hair... and that cleared my mind too.
It was quiet. The sound of the waves never fail to calm me.
Then there were these shooting stars, I saw it twice, two of it maybe, by myself. It was shooting really fast but it was short. If i were to put my fingers to the sky, I saw the star and its tail, 1 cm long from my view, for just 1 second.
What if the star lived for just 1 second? Cant it be given a longer life? somehow deep down i mumbled the reasons, it was just so i get to see it for a few seconds more... I didnt want it to go. 1 second was better than no seconds. But 1 second isnt enough still.

stars... they are my only companions at night.
my inspiration... they are the only things that never stop shinning in the dark.

thaipusayummmmy

thaipusam was great!
we were at shaw jhee's house. right on the main street outside youth park. we were dancing around, throwing the coconuts like water balloons wei... hahaha!! not cause we were throwing at others. cause when the coconut hits the ground the juice spits out on everyone. ==) the music was loud and indianish. we didnt know what indian songs but we just danced and played around, takin pics and all. being really sampat at some point. still fun altogether.
pictures will be tagged on facebook soon. will blog up the pics if i feel like it. ==)
my left foot was hit by a flying huge coconut shell. got swollen. bled. and im still alive dont worry. small wound. all worth it for the fun!
i was so excited waiting for the indian god to walk pass where i stood. thinkin 'i wanna throw a coconut i wanna throw a coconut!'

anyway i've won a goodie bag from 8tv quickie. you get to hear my voice as a caller at 11.30pm on saturday 7 feb. ==D dont know what's in there but i heard it's not bad. ==D for those who've missed it and still wanna hear what i was blabbling about on tv, you still can watch it (or hear it) online >here<. i sound bad but, whatever i got something for free. hahahaha!
me so wanna work in 8tv!!!!

coffee island

me, cyn, nic, fi.
coffee island at gurney drive aint that bad. a really nice place to hang out if we count out the loud noisy bunch of tu kaos on the next table.

i forgot to take pics of the food and drinks.
food not bad. drinks, cant judge. i only had fruit juice.
glasses are too tall. when the drinks are in the middle of the table, its hard to see the person across the table, then you have to shift the drinks =.=

i really shouldnt be standing in front.

pets arent allowed but chihuahuas with shades and fancy clothes are? hmm...

anyway, look what i found in the wall of the ladies' restrooms! very interesting. obviously girls cant pee like guys duh! what does the second one on the first row mean? and its allowed cause its not striked off. as for the last 2 ones, lets just.... yeah. hahahah!

now im curious what's on the wall of the gents' restroom. anybody who drops by there, please take a picture for me? ==D

The H Factor workshop

i was too busy along the week to blog about this. so here goes.....

last saturday some local celebs came to queensbay mall for a roadshow to promote the H Factor workshop. a workshop organized by Hannah Tan.

so i went up stage and hosted the program with Hannah Tan! woot woot!

haha.... nah lah... that might happen to me yrs frm now but deifnately not last week.
thats Hannah Tan. me and Reymee. the guy from Innuendo. he was the one who sang Belaian Jiwa if u guys can remember. the famous malay song that goes "hanya bidadari sebagai ganti...." i only remember that part of the lyrics. ahha...

it was so humiliating okay! but i got myself a free ticket to the H Factor workshop thingy, which costs $30. and 3 return flight tickets!! to Aust? nah. you wish. Fire Fly tickets to Banda Acheh and Medan. but i got it changed to Kelantan. which is just as bad. but oh well.. better than none.

the workshop was held last sunday. in G hotel. i sat in the second row. i went alone. but bumped into alot of my KDU juniors. so i sat with them.
thats the stage. the back drop and some slideshow thingy.
there were Hannah Tan, Reymee frm Innuendo. Fellest Yan, some good looking hip hop dancer who once worked with Madonna's crew before. there's Serena C and Pietro Felix. Harith Iskandar. Joey Khor, really good with animation. Hans Issac, he's kinda good lookin in person than on tv. he's the one who makes local films. he's an actor producer and director. then there's David Lai. he's some magician but he doesnt call the stuff he do magic. he says its called mentalism. not exactly magic but mind magic.

and i met new friends. the one is yellow is david. the one in black, i dont remember his name. hahaha.... im bad with names.
they were posing, acting as if they were the ones who bended the fork. haha...

thats me with 2 forks. notice one is bended one is not? know why?
anyway focus on the forks, not my face. this is how i look like after days of not enough sleep. thick powder aint covering my eyebags and my droppy puffy eyes.

this is David Lai. the one who bended the fork by just rubbing it. its freaky okay! it was during the lunch break, i was with a few new people that i met.
then David Lai came up beside me n said "so how was the workshop?"
i was halfway eating my cakes and i just gave him my fork and said "can u bend this for me?"
then he was like "sure sure"
and he held the tip of the fork, the place where you poke food on with, and he rubbed the handle ther with just 1 finger and wooooooo the fork bended upwards. right infront of my eyes!
im not being sampat here but its freaky. it was the hotel's fork. thick and big and obviously hard to bend. the hotel is so going to hate him for bending their forks. hahaha... he didint bend it back, of course. so i got him to sign the fork and brought it home with me. teehee!
he bended coins and all for others but i got the fork.

me and Joey. the animation guy. he did alot of mtvs for alot of artists and other projects or something, i wasn really payin attention to his speech. lol..

Harith Iskandar, Hans Issac, Serena C and Pietro went back early. so we didint take pics with them. but i took pics with Pietro before anyway.. he came to KDU before. he's the brother of one of my lecturer. and i dunno where i threw the pics so.. i'll just put it up if i found it la.

A date with me and basketball!!!!

This past week has reminded me about how much i loveeeeeeeeee basketball....
Haven't been on the court for like nearly a year since i went with Kentwin....i miss my boys (Chien Wern, Paul and Yao Jie)....our ballin days ==P

Thanks to Serene, after all those basketball-less months i was finally able to put on my basketball shoe again and play ball!!!!!
Got a cramp for my first game since ages ago but luckily it was right when the clock, for our time on the court, ran out....
The 2nd time on the court was also courtesy of Serene, this time everyone just played, talked joked, and really got into the game of basketball....i feel some lovin for the game going around ==D

Been playing alone, training for 2 days and finally, today i managed to get a feel of competitive basketball again....( not that the 2 matches before was competitive but there were some girls among the guys and some of them are kinda new to the game so yeah it's not up to that level yet, work hard guys ==P no offense )

The all so familiar feeling...being scratched, bumped around, and bumping other people, getting knocked in the face while driving to the lane, knocking down shots under pressure, in the lane and all.....you can say it feels like home again ==D ( i am not crazy ==P )

There was an Aussie that can practically dunk the ball and is very good on the low post....a Croatian who is also a basketball coach who not only handles the ball well, his passes and shots were pinpoint accurate....last but not least was a Chinese guy from China, who instead of a good shooter, you can call him a good scorer, the difference between the 2? He shoots well, can crerate for himself and is accurate even under pressure...

I am just not at that level yet though....So now, I am determined on getting my shots right....handling the ball better, try being more composed and improve on my court vision etc etc etc.....practice practice practice makes perfect.....

Anyone else in Australia that sees this post, if you are into ballin too, you know we've got a date at least once a week ==D anytime any day just contact me...to people who are new to basketball just come on over anyway and you might find yourself falling in love with the game!!!

Ps : got a hairband for myself too ==P to keep my annoying hair out of my face!!!
